What is ChatOrder?

ChatOrder is a direct ordering platform that lets your customers browse your menu, place orders, and pay — all through a WhatsApp conversation. No app downloads, no commission fees. Money goes straight to your bank.

How does it work?

You sign up, add your menu, and connect your WhatsApp Business number. Customers scan a QR code (on your shop window, tables, or packaging), which opens WhatsApp. Our AI chatbot handles the entire ordering conversation — menu browsing, customisations, payment, and order confirmation.

How long does it take to set up?

Most businesses are up and running within 30 minutes. Add your menu, connect WhatsApp, and generate your QR codes. We handle the rest.

Do my customers need to download an app?

No. Customers use WhatsApp, which they already have (71% of the UK population). They just scan a QR code and start chatting. Zero friction.

Pricing & Payments

How much does ChatOrder cost?

Plans start at £49/month (Starter) with no commission on orders. Growth is £99/month and Pro is £199/month. No hidden fees, no per-order commission. Cancel anytime.

Do you take a commission on orders?

No. Zero commission. Unlike Deliveroo or Just Eat (which take 15-35%), ChatOrder charges a flat monthly fee only. Your revenue is your revenue.

How do customers pay?

Customers receive a secure payment link in the WhatsApp chat. They can pay with card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. Cash on delivery is also available. Money goes directly to your bank account via Stripe.

When do I get paid?

Payments go directly to your bank account. Stripe typically settles within 2 business days. ChatOrder never holds your money.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Start with a free trial — no credit card required. Set up your menu and test the system before committing.

WhatsApp & AI

Do I need a WhatsApp Business account?

Yes. You need a WhatsApp Business API account (not the free WhatsApp Business app). We'll guide you through the setup process, which typically takes a few days for Meta to approve.

Is the AI chatbot reliable?

The AI is trained on your specific menu and business rules. It only offers items that exist on your menu and never invents prices. For complex queries, it can escalate to a human. You can also customise the AI's behaviour, welcome messages, and responses.

Can I choose which AI model to use?

Yes. ChatOrder supports Claude (Anthropic), GPT (OpenAI), Gemini (Google), and Groq (Llama). Each business can choose their preferred provider and even use their own API key. Some providers offer free tiers.

What languages does the AI support?

The AI can understand and respond in multiple languages. When enabled, it auto-detects the customer's language and responds accordingly.

Features

Can I use it for dine-in table ordering?

Yes. Generate unique QR codes for each table. Customers scan at their table, order via WhatsApp, and the order goes to your kitchen with the table number. Reduces the need for front-of-house staff.

Can customers book tables?

Yes. The AI can handle table reservations — collecting date, time, party size, and special requests. Customers receive a confirmation and a reminder 2 hours before.

Can I have multiple staff members?

Yes. Invite team members with different access levels: Owner (full control), Admin (manage menu and orders), or Staff (view and manage orders only).

Do you support multiple locations?

Multi-branch support is on our Pro plan. Each location gets its own menu, QR codes, and settings while sharing one dashboard.

Data & Security

Is my data secure?

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Payment data is handled by Stripe (PCI-DSS Level 1). Each business's data is completely isolated from others.

Are you GDPR compliant?

Yes. We comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. We process data under lawful bases (contract performance, legitimate interest, consent). Customers can request data deletion at any time. See our full Privacy Policy for details.

Do you own my customer data?

No. Your customer data belongs to you. Unlike delivery platforms, ChatOrder gives you full ownership of your customer relationships, order history, and contact information.

Can I export my data?

Yes. You can export your orders, customers, and menu data at any time.
